My inspiration: Luvleescrappin on YouTube - Mixed Media Canvas Collage First, I started with an 8" x 10" blank canvas. I had a general idea of what I wanted the piece to look like. But I laid some of the elements down and took photos for reference. I used a piece of pattern tissue from an old pattern and laid down with Mod Podge Matte. I crinkled the paper up in areas as I did not want it to lay perfectly flat. I wanted to have some texture for interest. I used my heat tool to dry the Mod Podge. And then started laying down some embellishments. I used different colors and mixed materials. I had paper embellishments, metal, stone beads as well as plastic buttons. I knew that I would cover the entire piece with a couple of good coats of gesso. I will list as many of the embellishments I used, but some of them were just "stuff" I found.
