I started with a 16x20 flat canvas panel.
I cut 2 sheets of 12 x 12 Stampin' Up! First Edition Designer Series scrapbook paper into various sizes. I used gel medium to glue down all the pieces. I had to use some scrap paper to fill in some gaps.
I watered down some plain white gesso and gave the entire canvas a good white washing.
I then printed out all the words to the scripture I wanted to use and cut out some scrapbook paper into heart shapes.
Before gluing down all the elements, I used stencils and modeling paste to add texture. After it was dry, I used various Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays to color the entire canvas. And I also used a variety of rubber stamps on the canvas. I inked the edges of the hearts as well as the words for the scripture. Then I glued down using the gel medium.
Here are a few photos captured in the process of making this project.
